Corepunk Alpha 2 Delayed To Late May As Devs Scramble To Complete Progression Loop

Fog-of-war MMORPG Corepunk suffers another delay as developer Artificial Core postpones this month’s second alpha test to late May. The studio says that the goal for Alpha 2 was to have the complete progression loop available for testing, which unfortunately won’t be possible within the original timeframe, hence the delay.

“After some thought and reviewing our deliverables schedule, we concluded that we wouldn’t be able to fully implement all progression systems by April 23 as we wished, and we really didn’t want to cut any systems or talents,” explains the devs.

Alpha 2 will now run from May 27 to June 2. “Our plan for the test is to unlock enough systems for you to have fun, test builds, new items, weapons, and heroes’ gameplay in a complete progression logic.”

Honestly, the news doesn’t really come as a surprise since the game has already been delayed multiple times since it was first announced in December 2019. Even so, producer Eugene Kiver still believes that an early access launch this year is “very realistic” if Alpha 2 goes well.

“Friends, we are very close, just a little bit more, and we will burst into the world of Kwalat!” says the devs. In the meantime, Artificial Core promises a parade of new gameplay and developer videos over the next few weeks, so stay tuned.
