DOTA 2 Promises Bi-Weekly Updates
Over the next 6 months, everyone can look forward to more regular updates of DOTA 2. This new schedule will be providing new content more often, instead of the normal updates in which large quantities of content, patches, and bug fixes were dropped a few times a year. This schedule is not intended to be a permanent occurrence, however.
We want to try taking a different approach to how gameplay patches are released. Instead of big patches a couple of times a year, we'll be releasing small patches every 2 weeks on Thursdays. We'll be trying this out for about six months and then reevaluating.

Every other thursday these updates will be pushed out, and a new in-game notification feature will be implemented in order to notify players about any changes made. All players should be advised that this new update schedule is a temporary test in order to determine if it's a more viable option in regards to content releases.
