Embers Adrift Adds Skill-Boosting Alchemy System And Cosmetic Slot For Subscribers
Embers Adrift’s first anniversary isn’t the only cause for celebration in the group-based MMORPG as Stormhaven Studios rolls out the brand-new Alchemy system. Through Alchemy, players will be able to empower their combat skills when in a pinch using a new type of item called Ember Essence.
All non-aura skills can be empowered to increase their potency but will require an extra second of channeling time and will consume 10 Ember Essences at Alchemy I. Unlocking the Alchemy II version of the skill will further boost its effectiveness but will require 2 seconds of channeling time and 50 Ember Essences. You’ll also need to wait 2 minutes before you can empower the skill again at Alchemy I and 10 minutes for Alchemy II.
The Advantage Strike skill, for example, normally grants advantage for a single attack. Empowering the skill will boost its effect to grant advantage on all attacks for 10 seconds at Alchemy I. The Alchemy II empowered version bumps the duration up to 20 seconds and also increases the skills damage multiplier.
As for Ember Essences, they can be found in Ember Drifts and Ruptures that will be marked by purple and green plumes, respectively. These visual indicators only appear when you’re near a Hallow and will disappear as soon as you leave the area.
