Embers Adrift Kicks Off Closed Beta Testing For Backers And Drops NDA

Embers Adrift officially has officially kicked off its closed beta test which and is now open to all players who pre-ordered the game. As with the previous testing phase, the backer beta will only be available during specific days and times but has been expanded from Friday, 10:00 pm PST to Sunday, 9:59 pm PST. This is in addition to the regular developer tests that will continue to run every Wednesday starting at 6:00 pm PST.

For this phase of testing, the developers will be shifting their development focus from the game’s core systems to the actual in-game content. All progress during the beta test will be wiped prior to the game’s official launch. The NDA has also been dropped so we should be seeing actual in-game footage from testers over the next few days.

Alpha pre-order packs have now been pulled from the shelves but the Beta Backer Pack is still available on the official site for those who want to participate in the ongoing beta test. The Beta Pack will set you back $50 and includes closed beta access, a one-day head start on launch, and a month of game time, as well as the exclusive “Wanderer” title and Ember-inlaid sword.
