Dino Shooter Exoprimal Kicks Off Season 3 And Monster Hunter Collaboration Event

Exoprimal has officially kicked off its third season and Monster Hunter collaboration event, featuring new boss fights, a new jungle map, and an XP boosting event.

The Monster Hunter crossover brings Rathalos, a.k.a. the King of the Skies, to the team-based dino shooter by way of a limited-time mission. Find and collect monster tracks in Dino Survival matches to unlock the 10-player mission where you’ll face off against the iconic fire-breathing wyvern and a small army of velociprey.

You’ll also be able to purchase exclusive Monster Hunter-themed cosmetic sets including a Rathalos armor skin for Murasame, a Kirin armor skin for Skwywave, a Nergigante armor skin for Barrage, and a Rajang monster skin for Roadblock. Exclusive Monster Hunter emotes, decals, charms, and communication wheel stamps will also be up for grabs until the event ends on February 12.

Outside of the collaboration event, Season 3 also brings a new 10-player boss fight that will pit you and your friends against the rampaging Neo Triceratops, a massive, mutated version that’s tougher and stronger than the triceratops you’d normally find in the game.

“It can strike foes from a distance by shooting out spikes and has the power to enlarge its horns when charging into melee,” warns Capcom. “Exofighters will need to work together under a respawn limit to overcome this fearsome new opponent.”

The new season also opens up the new Jungle map and adds the new Beta variant exosuits which feature new weapons and customization options that set them apart from the Alpha and standard Exosuit variants.

You’ll also get to enjoy a double XP boost from now until Monday, January 22. A Lunar New Year event is also scheduled to begin on January 31. The game itself is on sale at 50% off on Steam until the end of the month.
