Fallensouls: Fire War Is A New Windows Phone MMORPG

I don't know anyone that owns a Windows Phone. Not a single person. I don't think I've ever even seen a Windows Phone that wasn't a display unit. But that isn't stopping developers from making games for Microsoft's unfortunate platform. Today, Miracle Games announced the launch of their Windows Phone MMORPG, Fallensouls: Fire War. The studio has an impressive pedigree of ex-Supercell Oy, EA Mobile, Ubisoft, Chillingo, Glu, and Gameloft employees, among others.

Not much information is given about the game. From the screenshots on the Facebook page, it appears to be a fairly generic browser MMO. It looks like the kind of MMO that has nice enough graphics, no customization, and allows you to run around a game world in isometric view before diving into auto-resolving battles. Your race choices are "a noble human, a bloodthirsty orc or one of the mighty undead."

On the subject of their chosen platform, the studio's own Michael Leader said "'Fallensouls: Fire War' as our starter Windows phone product, sufficiently proves that we are optimistic about the prospects for an exception in the Windows market, we are committed to the United Kingdom before domestic market development and expansion. Until earlier this year, Microsoft officially announced the releasing of Windows10, we realized, for us this will be a great opportunity. So five months later, we officially released the first Windows platform product 'Fallensouls: Fire War'." They may be "optimistic about the prospects for an exception in the Windows market," but it remains to be seen whether Fallensouls will, in fact, be an exception.
