First Assault Previews First New Playable Character, Maven

First Assault's first new character since the launch of Early Access is being added to the game soon. The new character, Maven, is "an expert on guerilla warfare and topography, stemming from her time in the South American military." She was scouted for Section 9 after she "single-handedly held off an insurgent attack after her entire squad was killed."

Maven's skill is the Therm-Optic Barrier, which obscures sight and slows bullets. The Tier 2 upgrade for this skill increases the size of the barrier. Like Ishikawa's sentry, the barrier can be destroyed by other players.

Maven does not yet have a release date other than "soon." Neople and Nexon have also teased that "that’s not all arriving during our upcoming updates."
