ArenaNet continues to work on its revamping the world vs. world experience in Guild Wars 2 as it gears up for the next world restructuring beta test. The next playtest is scheduled to run from January 12 to February 2 with a whole host of new features up for testing.

The upcoming beta test will include a new team-building algorithm, a team-building reset option, and a same team reset option, along with a long list of improvements and bug fixes. The studio has a strict sign-up schedule for those who want to sign-up with their guildmates or for the final beta week, the details of which can be found in this forum post.

It looks like gliding won’t be available during the beta test though, as it’s been temporarily removed from the live World vs. World mode as of last week due to a crash issue. Just to be clear, that’s a game crashing issue and not the glider itself crashing. An ETA for when the issue will be fixed has yet to be announced.
