H1Z1 Has Split Into Two Games

It's official. H1Z1 has split into two games: H1Z1: King of the Hill and H1Z1: Just Survive. Like dividing bacteria in a stagnant pond, both titles will follow their separate paths, each with their own development teams. Players who owned H1Z1 before the cleaving own both copies. But new players can buy each game individually for $19.99.

The divide coincides with an update to both game modes, improving Zombie animation sets, nerfing AK-47 damage, and improves the armor protection of the motorcycle helmet, along with several other improvements.

I guess the next patch will include different improvements that better capture the unique aspects of both game modes? Time will tell.

I still find it hard to understand why one game couldn't include both game modes, but I'm just a guy watching two halves of a zombie meander down different roads. What do I know?

With the announcement comes two new "Teaser" trailers you can watch below.
