Last Epoch Slashes Prices And Tweaks Cash Shop Amid Player Outcry
While microtransactions aren’t exactly a new concept in the MMO world, Eleventh Hour Games’ decision to introduce a cash shop in Last Epoch has cause an uproar among the time-travelling ARPG’s community.
In response, the studio rolled out various changes to the cash shop to cement its reputation as “the studio that listens.” These changes include adjustments to the cash shop’s currency conversion rate, the removal of the bonus system, and a reduction in prices across the board.
“Admittedly, we ended up leaning too hard into following the established and successful models in the industry,” acknowledged the team. “When we were evaluating our options, we leaned on advice designed around previous titles, and that was a mistake.”
