Last Epoch Patch 1.1: Harbingers of Ruin Arrives July 9th

Action RPG Last Epoch is set to receive its first major post-release content patch on July 9th, 2024. Patch 1.1: Harbingers of Ruin is the first of four 'cycles' that were announced as part of the game's post-release roadmap earlier this year.

The patch's main feature are 10 new boss fights against Harbingers, culminating in the final battle against Aberroth. Perhaps just as important, the patch also brings with it a completely new mechanic: the dodge roll. This should help make the combat feel both more fluid and involved. Hundreds of balance changes, and a new major faction are also among the patch's many new additions.

Last Epoch enjoyed a successful release in February 2024, muscling its way into a competitive genre dominated by Diablo 4 and Path of Exile. The game peaked at over 250,000 players at launch. The Harbingers of Ruin patch will test whether the game has the content cadence to keep players engaged.

The game is currently on sale for $28 and is worth a look for fans of the genre.
