Life Forge Hits Steam Early Access On March 17th

There aren't enough 2D MMORPGs these days; that's the reason that SOFTON Entertainment made DarkEden Origin. It's fortunate then that some indie developers are still taking it upon themselves to make new 2D MMORPGs, like Adamant Entertainment's new 2D MMORPG Life Forge. We aren't seeing quite as many of them as we did during the heyday of engines like Mirage Source and XtremeWorlds, but they do still exist.

Life Forge is a 2D, tile-based MMORPG made in "SkywardRiver's custom engine." Despite its appearance, it is not an RPG Maker game, nor does it use any default RPG Maker assets; everything you see in-game was made specifically for it. Players can take part in various PvE and PvP activities, gather resources and craft gear, fight world bosses, and more.

Life Forge was originally supposed to go live on Steam Early Access today, but "Valve was not able to verify [Adamant Entertainment's] game build in time." As such, the Early Access release date has been moved to March 17th. However, "as an apology" for the additional wait, the team has stated that it will be "creating more content to play upon release."

You can read more about Life Forge on the Steam store page or the official website.
