Standing Stone Games is giving Lord of the Rings Online’s Monster Play mode another balance pass later this month with the release of Update 35. As part of the update, the team will make mines more rewarding for its owners and will be making slight changes to the Grodris fight to make it more challenging.

“Beware, she is not a fan of staying with one target and will happily spread her ire around the entire gathered forces. Of course, if you are alone, she will happily blast you,” warns the devs.

Additionally, Free Players will get two new weekly quests and a new tutorial that will show them another way out of Glán Vraig. Legendary Item XP and Renown gains will also be boosted for both Free and Monster Players and extra rewards will be given out to those who complete the Ettenmoors quest for the second time that week.

Standing Stone also offered more insight into the planned changes to the Guardian class coming later this year. The team says that the blue-line Guardian is currently “in pretty good shape,” but the yellow-line needs to be adjusted to be more of an AoE tank while the red-line build will require a significant DPS boost to bring it up to par with other high-DPS classes.
