Lost Ark is gearing up for its next major update later this month, and while it’s going to be a bit lighter on content compared to previous monthly updates, it does promise a new raid and a pair of new events to tide players over until next month.

This month’s update, dubbed Chaos Rising, will introduce the new Hanumatan trial raid and will kick off the Chaos Assault event alongside an Elixir and Transcendence boosting event. The Thaemine Legion raid will remain Lost Ark’s pinnacle raid for the time being as most players are still working to clear what the community describes as one of the hardest MMO raids ever made.

The dev team also confirmed that they’ll be changing the name of the main boss in the first Kazeros raid from its Korean name, Ladon, to Echidna in response to a petition from the global community. A massive server merge is also planned for June 5 which will consolidate the North America East and South America servers into a single regional server. NA West will remain separate for now as the team looks for ways to ensure “the lowest latency possible” for players in the region.

“Unfortunately, we found issues that would prevent a good customer experience during the extensive testing we conducted,” the team explained. “Identifying an optimal outcome will take time, and this merge will not take place in Summer of 2024. We wish we could provide a firmer update on when we could move forward with connecting these regions, but we have not yet identified a path to do so.”

More information about the upcoming server merge and the Chaos Rising update is promised soon.
