Jandisoft continues to deliver weekly updates for Mad World as part of its efforts to add more content and polish up the gameplay experience following the game’s official launch back in April. The last four updates for the 2D grimdark MMORPG brought with it a whole host of improvements to weapons, XP gains, rewards, and general gameplay.

Last week’s patch brought new weapon skills, increased gold earnings from monster kills, weapon swapping tweaks, and adjusted death penalties. Notably, penalties now apply only when a character’s madness reaches 1,000 or when killed in PvP zones.

This week, players received three patches of varying sizes. These updates addressed various issues with a hotfix for tribe chat, a buff to XP gains from field and dungeon mobs, an increase to the movement speed for mountable pets, and the removal of the level limit for cooking. Yesterday’s patch cut back on grinding even further by buffing item drop rates for certain bosses and kicking off hot time events that offer increased drop rates for both gold and items.

Meanwhile, Jandisoft remains tight-lipped on the promised Steam version that was supposed to launch alongside the non-Steam version but is still missing a release date on the platform.
