Coiled Isle Opens in World of Warcraft: Midnight Update

Blizzard Entertainment has released Curse of Ula'tek, the first major content update for World of Warcraft: Midnight. The 12.1 update opens the previously hidden Coiled Isle, located off the coast of Zul'Aman, and makes new dungeon and lair content available ahead of additional Season 2 content on 19 August 2026 AEST.

Players can explore new areas on the island, venture into venomous caverns and uncover secrets connected to the Amani people.

What's live now

  • Coiled Isle: The new zone off the coast of Zul'Aman is open for exploration, including venomous caverns connected to the Amani people.
  • Tidebound Grotto Lair: Available at World Difficulty.
  • Altar of Fangs: A new dungeon available alongside Heroic and Mythic 0 difficulties for Midnight dungeons.
  • Mythic 0 rewards: Currently on a weekly reset and rewarding item level 292 gear.
  • Refreshed dungeon rotation: Altar of Fangs, Murder Row, Den of Nalorakk, The Blinding Vale and Voidscar Arena, plus the returning dungeons Kings' Rest, Temple of Sethraliss and Ruby Life Pools.
  • Prey Season 2: Accessible in Normal and Hard modes.
  • Delves Season 2: Open across all tiers with Nemesis difficulty available, but without Bountiful Delves.
  • Training Grounds: Arenas: Live, with players able to earn credit toward Season 2 Great Vault rewards.

What's coming 19 August AEST

Additional Season 2 content arrives from 19 August 2026 AEST. The Venomous Abyss raid will open across Normal, Heroic and Mythic difficulties alongside its first Raid Finder wing. Tidebound Grotto will also expand to Normal, Heroic and Mythic flexible-scaling difficulties.

  • Mythic+ Season 2 and PvP Season 2: Both begin, while Mythic 0 moves to a daily reset and continues to reward item level 292 gear.
  • Delves Season 2: Expands with Nemesis difficulty, Bountiful Delves and Keys.
  • Prey Season 2: Adds Nightmare Mode and Curse of the Isle.
  • Great Vault rewards: Season 2 gear earned through the Great Vault becomes available.
