Anime RPG Ananta Will Bring Nova City to Life in 2027
NetEase Games has confirmed that Ananta, its anime-style urban open-world RPG formerly known as Project MUGEN, is scheduled to launch globally on January 15, 2027, across PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile.
The release date was revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026. The project was first unveiled as Project MUGEN in 2023 before being renamed Ananta.
Ananta takes players across Nova City and Chongxiao's Lingyun City, with each location offering its own lifestyle and atmosphere. Players can assemble a squad, travel between cities, meet residents, and uncover hidden truths beneath the surface.
