One week into full release and the Mortal Online 2 dev team is still dealing with server issues, long queues, and problems logging into the main map from the starting area of Haven. Star Vault founder Henrik Nyström apologizes for the ongoing problems and outlines their plan to address them in his latest letter to the community.

“First of all, I want to apologize for our rocky login and myrland issues that have affected most of you the past few days,” said Nyström. “We underestimated the login pressure from players traveling to Myrland from Haven, and the current results we are getting now compared to our stress test are quite different. This is by far the biggest challenge in the entire project so far. The team has been working 24/7 to add fixes and improvements in this area as soon as possible during the release with some progress, but not nearly enough.”

According to Nyström, they’re now working with networking experts to help them fix the problems as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the fixes will take a few days before they can be implemented. In light of this, all subscription time has been paused and will resume once all the issues have been solved. The team is also looking at giving players the option to return to Haven if they’re put in queue.

He also assured the community that they don’t want to ignore player questions regarding the ongoing issues but they don’t have the time to read and answer every message as they’re working 24/7 to get things fixed. He asks players to check for updates on the official site instead so the team can focus on the tasks at hand. Players still on Haven are also advised to remain there until they’ve fixed login issues in Myrland.
