New World Season Of The Guardian Finally Goes Live After A Nearly Month-Long Delay
New World’s fifth seasonal content update is now live as Season of the Guardian finally lands on the open-world MMORPG’s servers after being delayed for nearly a month, time that Amazon used to work out the kinks in the season’s new combat and animation systems, a.k.a. the Slayer Script.
With the beginning of the new season, max-level players can now take on the new Winter Rune Forge trial which promises plenty of team-based puzzles for players to solve and hordes of increasingly difficult enemies to fight, culminating in a boss battle against the Ancient Ice Guardian.
Eight brand-new artifacts have also been added to the game, including three new weapons and five new armor pieces. Each artifact can be upgraded by progressing through their respective quest lines.
Season of the Guardian also introduced the final round of changes to main scenario quests in addition to the ability to use mounts in Outpost Rush, major changes to the cooking system, native controller support, and a new season pass.
