Celebrate Old School RuneScape’s 10th Birthday With Cake And A ‘Fashionscape’ Of Rewards
Old School RuneScape is hosting a good, old-fashioned cake-off to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a nostalgic and “real feel-good story” behind it. One of the competing teams has run into a problem and is in desperate need of your help if they hope to win the competition.
“The Lumbridge Cook is responsible for the Duke’s contribution, and his new assistant, Patty Seer, has been travelling the world learning all about baking,” Jagex explains. “This should put them in good stead to take first prize in the Cake-Off, but in an unfortunate turn of events, Patty's cake tin has cracked and her hat has been stolen! Now she needs your help if she’s going to do Lumbridge proud in the biggest cake competition Gielinor has ever seen…”
For your troubles, you’ll receive a “stunning fashionscape” of anniversary rewards, including the 10th Birthday Cape, a Birthday Cake Hat, birthday balloons, Old School Jumpers, a Dragon Candle dagger, a new party emote, a plushie and slippers, and more. Note that the jumper and plushie is limited to just one per character, but you’ll be able to change their appearance into one of the other available styles by simply right-clicking on them and using the “Change Style” option.
“Make sure to grab these goodies while you can - birthday treats only come around once a year!” advises the devs. “If you're not able to join the celebrations this time, you’ll have to wait for next year’s event to unlock them. And that’s, like, a whole year away...”
