Winter is coming to Palia (whitewalkers not included) as the cozy free-to-play MMO prepares to kick off its first winter event. The event will roll out in phases over the next few weeks, starting with the first fall of snow in Kilima Village and the beginning of Winterlight celebrations.

Players can look forward to various seasonal activities like snowball fights and tree decorating, as well as festive new house decorations.

“As we approach December, you will start to see heaps of fluffy snow all around Kilima Village, a mischievous way to ‘share’ that snow with your friends, and a new creative way to add decor to your home,” developer Singularity 6 announced. “You will also be learning more about ‘Winterlights,’ a Majiri celebration that brings light to the darkest days of the year, and shares that light with family, friends, and community!”

In the meantime, the developers are hard at work on new content for the co-op title including the Temple of Gales, a new point-of-interest with new mysteries to uncover and challenging puzzles to solve.

“Like in other Temples, you'll team up with a couple of villagers to help you solve the mysteries,” the developers teased. “This collaboration is not just about puzzle-solving; it's also a chance to help the players learn more about Caleri and Elouisa’s past and hopefully help them grow closer as sisters.”

Singularity 6 offers a sneak peek at the upcoming winter content and the new temple in its November 2023 dev update.
