Square Enix Launching their Own Pokemon GO Clone: Dragon Quest Walk

Square Enix is launching their very own Pokemon GO clone titled Dragon Quest Walk in Japan. The game will be launching for mobile later this year and will feature largely the same core gameplay found in Pokemon GO. No word on any kind of international release.

Given just how successful Pokemon GO has been, i'm actually surprised we haven't seen more knockoffs with other franchises.

Square Enix stock rocketed over 7% on the announcement, increasing the company's value by over $250M, which is incredible for a simple game announcement.
