Star Trek Online Kicks Off New Mirror Borg Story Arc As Its ‘Unparalleled’ Update Goes Live
Star Trek Online kicks off its 32nd season and a new chapter in its ongoing multiversal Borg storyline as the free-to-play sci-fi MMORPG’s Unparalleled update officially goes live on PC. The update features a brand-new episode that will send players off on another journey through the stars alongside Aetherians and a never-before-seen version of Romulan Empress and Enterprise F captain, Sela, voiced by Star Trek: The Next Generation star Denise Crosby.
“In Star Trek Online: Unparalleled, the Khitomer Alliance has tasked you and a new Aetherian ally with modifying an Iconian Gateway, when you receive a distress call from another universe. They’re under siege by a multiversal Borg, attacking from within a massive Dyson Sphere. Can you stop these new Borg before they gain control?”
Players can also take on the new Borg Battle Royale task force operation and the Delete Alt Control event to unlock a Type 14 Shuttle Support Squadron, a Dimensional Hypermass Torpedo Launcher, an Epic Prize Token from the Phoenix Store, and 500 Lobi Crystals. Infinity Lock Boxes have also been updated to contain items from the Prodigy Lock Box and the new Aetherian Revelation starship.
The update also officially added the Captain Alteration Token to the cash shop, allowing players to change their character’s gender and species for a small fee.
Unparalleled will be coming to PlayStation and Xbox consoles on June 19.
