Stunlock Studios might be a little stingy with its V Rising updates, but the gaming community appears to still want in on the action. The studio reports that the multiplayer vampire survival game has sold 4 million copies to date, which doesn’t seem like much compared to the staggering sales of other indie survival games like Palworld and Valheim, but it’s still proof that gameplay is still king and that content updates aren’t the be-all and end-all of survival games.

Speaking of updates, V Rising is still on track for its second major update and Version 1.0 release on May 8. The update, which has now been dubbed Legacy of Castlevania, promises the game’s final boss fight, a revamped spell book, a castle relocation tool, new cosmetics, and more.
