Closers Overview

The year is 2020 and dimensional monsters have invaded the world for the second time. Only agents known as Closers have the psychic abilities required to defeat these monsters and close the Dimensional Gates from which they arrive. Closers centers on the story of The Black Lambs, a group of high school students who also happen to be the Closers tasked with protecting New Seoul from the monster invasion.

The main gameplay method in Closers is a series of instanced missions/dungeons broken into chapters similar to Dungeon Fighter Online and Vindictus. Interestingly, the game also includes a MOBA/AoS style PvP mode inspired by League of Legends.

Open Beta Comment: Played Closers yesterday since i loved Rusty Hearts, love the gameplay for J. However, I dropped it after four hours after seeing all the transactions currently implemented in the Open Beta.

There's the standard transactions for extra character slots and inventory space, but i'm deeply bothered by other stuff as well.
One thing that bothers me for example is that there seems to be a team bonus based on your chosen characters and their levels. So the more characters you have of a team, they get a bonus.
The game got Gatchas (Aka Lootboxes, $0.72~$1), subscription service($12~$15) for elite status (30 days) that'll be upgraded to platinum status after 90 days, cosmetic items that hide it's corresponding slot ($3.20~$4), extra entry's (some also included in elite/plat status) for limited daily run dungeons, a fatigue system, and other staples.
Cut scenes and loading screen images can use updates graphically.

I've haven't seen an indicators where you can earn free passes for gatchas, but i'd imagine if you'd look at the in-game "black market" there are some cash shop items in there.

Honestly this might change from its current state, but without knowing more systems and how rewards work I won't be going back. I honestly enjoying playing J (trainee), but i'm keeping my eyes on soulworker at the moment
