Warzone 2.0 Makes Popular Premium Skin Less Stealthy And Players Aren’t Happy

Infinity Ward has unsurprisingly ‘nerfed’ the extremely popular all-black premium skin that came out in Warzone 2.0 earlier this month. The $10 LA Thieves-themed COD League skin proved to be so popular that it even snagged a spot on Steam’s Top 20 Best Sellers List and managed to rake in more money than Elden Ring, Destiny 2, and Grand Theft Auto 5.

As you can probably guess, the reason why the new skin took the Warzone 2.0 community by storm is that it allowed players to basically hide in plain sight and rack up stealth kills like a boss, much like the infamous Roze skin in the original Warzone. While most players would think that the sequel’s upgraded visuals and lighting would prevent such an advantage, it apparently wasn’t the case and the developers decided to make the skin more visible.

The new version of the LA Thieves skin now features bright red details to match the logo for the gloves, googles frame, and tactical straps. With the release of the new version, some players are now looking to get a refund for the skin, whether its because they won’t be able to use it to channel their inner ninja or because they just don’t like the new look.

Personally, I’m not a fan of the new version just because it looks to gaudy and the original looked sleeker. But, if it removes any unfair advantage then I’m all up for it.
