Nightingale’s massive Realms Rebuilt update has been out for a few weeks now, and Inflexion Games is ready to share some thoughts on how it’s been received—and what’s on the horizon. In a casual post-launch report, Inflexion CEO Aaryn Flynn and head of audio Neil Thompson sat down to talk about the game’s latest patch, bug fixes, and what the future holds for Realmwalkers everywhere.

First things first: the devs were thrilled with the community’s response to Realms Rebuilt. “We saw a good balance of returning players and new faces,” Flynn noted, adding that the update has even sparked positive Reddit buzz, which is saying something considering the community’s rather lukewarm reception to the shared world MMORPG’s initial launch. The update, which significantly streamlined the game’s entire Realmwalking experience, has been praised for tightening up gameplay while introducing more linear progression, making it easier to hop between realms and survive the various biomes.

The team didn’t shy away from discussing bugs either. The latest patch tackled issues like broken glyph puzzles, invisible buildings (because ghost houses are apparently a thing now), and, best of all, invincible trees. Because nothing says “AAA game” like chopping down a tree that you can’t even see.

Looking ahead, Inflexion teased future updates, including plans for more story realms, new biomes, gear customization options, and the long-awaited move to Unreal Engine 5.4 for better optimization. While no specific timeframes were given, the team assured players that these updates are in the works.

For now, Nightingale players can look forward to continued tweaks and improvements, with the devs promising more engaging content on the horizon. You can watch it all for yourself in the post-mortem video below.
