Wizardy Online's Japanese Service Is Shutting Down On December 20th

According to MMOCulture, Gamepot has announced that, five years after its initial launch, Wizardry Online's Japanese service will be shut down on December 20th. Gamepot is citing "market conditions" in the online gaming industry as the reason for its inability to continue adding content and impending closure.

Wizardry Online was previously published in the West by Sony Online Entertainment. Its service ran for only a year, from January 2013 to January 2014, before being shut down. With the closure of the Japanese service, the game will effectively be shut down worldwide.
