WoW Patch 12.0.7 Launches June 16 With New Update Details
Blizzard has confirmed World of Warcraft Patch 12.0.7, titled Midnight: Revelations, launches June 16, 2026. The update arrives roughly eight weeks after Patch 12.0.5's rocky April rollout and continues Midnight's aggressive patch cadence with a notably full slate for a x.0.7 release.
Despite its minor version number, 12.0.7 brings a new single-boss raid, a rotating outdoor Void activity, a mid-expansion progression system, Turbulent Timeways, and long-awaited Player Housing improvements. Blizzard is also using this patch to quietly pilot a potential change to Mythic raid sizing that the community has been watching closely.
Midnight: Revelations - Key Additions
- New Raid - Sporefall: A single-boss raid set in Harandar pitting players against Rotmire, a fungal giant. Available in Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties.
- Flex Mythic: Sporefall's Mythic difficulty supports 15–25 raiders instead of the standard hard-locked 20 - Blizzard is explicitly framing this as a test for future Mythic size flexibility.
- Void Showdowns: A new outdoor activity accessed via a portal in the Voidstorm, sending players to one of two rotating Void-occupied worlds - Naigtal (fungus forest, home to the Hal'hadar Ethereals) or Val (a frozen world with a Legion past). Each world includes World Quests, events, and a World Boss-tier confrontation; worlds rotate every few days.
- The Omnium Folio: A new mid-expansion progression system built around restoring the ancient Sunstrider Omnium with Magisters Rommath and Umbric. Players earn the Omnium Folio - a book of magical runes usable in combat - and empower it weekly through a mix of raid, dungeon, and world content. Designed as borrowed-power-lite with account-wide unlocks that are optional rather than mandatory for competitive play.
- Turbulent Timeways: The multi-week Timewalking event returns, this time incorporating Dragonflight Timewalking - including Algeth'ar Academy, Halls of Infusion, Neltharus, Ruby Life Pools, Azure Vault, and Brackenhide Hollow. Completing the associated achievement earns the Spawn of Vyranoth, a spiky icy proto-drake mount. The event also functions as one of the faster alt-leveling windows available each patch cycle.
- Troll Questlines: Two new quest chains tied to Troll lore - one involving Loa Speaker Brek and Jan'alai (Loa of Fire) and a new dragonhawk clutch; another following Zul'jan and his uncle Kinduru into the legacy of the Amani trolls, which unlocks in-game July 7.
- Lorewalking: Loas: A new quest series led by Assistant Lorewalker Li Li Stormstout covering Zandalari, Drakkari, Gurubashi, Darkspear, and Amani loa - set up clearly as lore scaffolding for whatever is lurking off the coast of Zul'Aman.
- Player Housing - Outdoor Lighting: Lighting decor can now be placed outside, with radius limits applied to prevent stacked overlapping lights.
- Quality of Life: Weapon durability changes reducing repair costs; Personal Resource Display customization; Darkspear Dash micro-holiday (an official version of the community-run Running of the Trolls event); ability to spend multiple Shards of Dundun to accelerate Abundance events.
With Season 2 projected around mid-August 2026 if Blizzard holds its eight-week cadence, 12.0.7 is doing double duty - bridging the current Void narrative toward what comes next while giving Blizzard a live testbed for flex Mythic, a system that could reshape raid composition standards well beyond Midnight. Players following the Worldsoul Saga roadmap will want to pay attention to how both Sporefall's flex model and the Omnium Folio are received, as community and tuning feedback here is expected to inform 12.1 design directly.
