Astro Empires Overview

Astro Empires is a text-based space strategy MMO available on internet browser, with a mobile-friendly skin available released in 2012 that allows play from any modern smartphone or tablet. Gameplay is similar to OGame, although in comparison has more updated graphics and animations, a more realistic universe, and lacks some of its pay-to-win elements, being supported mainly by subscriptions. Players begin on a random planet on a map, tasked with building resource generating plants to begin the great resource management simulation that comprises most of the game. After getting settled in consistent resource production (consisting of Population, Energy, and Area), players move on to research new technologies that are supported by defensive structures and facilities, including a shipyard that allows players to begin building their fleet. Once they have a fleet constructed, they can move onto a second planet, attack other players, and join one of the game’s established guilds to enter a network of active players that can help protect against enemy attacks. The game moves forward similar to this, with its own diplomacy and politics coming from its social and PvP elements.
