Overview

GWENT Overview

In GWENT players compete in card duels in a best-of-three series. There are five different factions of cards, each with unique playstyles and strategies. Cards can be placed in one of three rows (Siege, Melee, or Ranged) and must be used wisely because players do not automatically draw cards at the beginning of their turns. Every card that is drawn is done through other cards' effects or abilities. Play against others in a friendly match or engage in a competitive ranked ladder. Go questing in the solo campaign, which features the "choice and consequence" mechanic of the Witcher series. Craft cards to create even better ones. Chain cards to create combos and rack up the most points to win.

GWENT Key Features:

  • Standalone GWENT – the mini-game from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available as a free-to-play standlone game with a PvP system.
  • Anyone Can Play players will find it easy to jump into GWENT, but the depth of gameplay will prove difficult to master.
  • Best of Threes – each game is a series of three rounds, and two must be won in order to achieve victory. Learn to manipulate the rounds to your benefit.
  • Unique Card Game Mechanics – GWENT breaks free of the usual CCG mechanics and provides fresh gameplay. For example, players do not get to automatically draw cards each turn and thus must wisely use the cards they have.
  • Solo Campaign unravel a story-rich solo campaign that will have the same "choice and consequence" feature that's in the Witcher series.
