Is this a spiritual successor to Vampire Wars from all those years ago? (was a Facebook game riding on the coattails of Mafia Wars)

    • Heigler Rocha

      Hello Ivan_!
Lamentosa has some of inspiration in 2005 ~ the 2008 MMOs like BiteFight, MonstersGame and so on, but the game itself has unique features.

Tormentus War: A global event that happens one time per day where 40 players can attack the opposite race until the death, the winner receives a good bonus.

Clan's War: Another real time event but with clans. War points are collected during those wars and can be used to unlock secret books. Secret books unlock special bonuses for the clan.

Elections: Each race must have a leader and that is not so simple like it seems, there's a lot of political and strategy stuff behind the leadership. Each month a leader can be elected by the vampires oand the werewolves.

Masters: There are 4 masters in the game and you must choose one when you get level 10. Each one teaches you unique spells and you've to be cautious to use them properly because for each opponent is a different strategy.

We hope to see you there!
      Cheers

So I tried it for an hour or so...

      Pros:
+ pretty decent atmosphere/art, definitely looks like Vampire Wars/Mafia Wars from a decade ago
+ immersive despite being cliche, but no random stuff like bunny ears and flashy comedic outfits)
+ decent BR playerbase (just look at the other comments here. BR region is very active and mature)

      Cons:
      - virtually non-existent English-speaking playerbase (does anyone from NA, EU, or other regions play??)
      - very punishing energy system (you attack once, and have to wait 5 minutes to attack again. also limit of 24 attacks (fights/encounters) per day, PvE AND PvP and that's with premium. Game doesn't tell you the wait limit without premium, but it does say you only get 12 attacks per day)
      - poor translations/typos everywhere ("finish" instead of confirm/use/accept, "inteligence" on the stats screen lol)
      - bad UI/UX design (there should be some info of your character on every page, i.e. when you're ready to attack again/when your job is finished, your gold/premium currency, how many haste potions you have)

You can take some time to get used to it and learn about it at all,
it's a lot of information to assimilate, but I recommend you to go to the end.

    It's a nice game!

  • Bl00d_Hunter

This is not a simple game to play for a single month or less.
You can play it for years and it will never be the same...
...the political intrigues between clans and the rebirth system make the game renew all the time around a lot of strategies and fun.

You start as a uselles piece of Sh&#%, with a long climb ahead...
...the game begins to get interesting after lv 15 with the hidden books and the wars.
