Tanki X Closed Beta Invites Will Be Sent Out On February 1st

Tanki Online spin-off Tanki X was revealed in October of last year. Closed Beta sign-ups opened alongside the announcement with the promise of the first Beta occurring "soon." On February 1st, nearly four months later, the first Closed Beta invites will be sent out to chosen candidates. The invite process will happen in waves, the first of which will be the set sent out on February 1st.

The Closed Beta will feature the Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch. Four maps will be available. Capture the Flag and more maps will be available at release. The press release does not mention any limitations on the amount of weapons or vehicles available.

During the Closed Beta phase, AlternativaPlatform wants to accomplish two things. First, they want to get "top-notch" feedback on the game's balance, pacing, and more. The overall goal is to make Tanki X "the best fast-paced tanks game on the planet." Second, they want to stress test the tech that is powering the game, including server stress tests and testing the game on a wide variety of setups.

For the time being, Closed Beta sign-ups will continue to be available via the official website. If you don't get it, don't worry. An Open Beta is scheduled for later in "Q1 2016."
