Tanki Online Spin-Off Tanki X Announced
AlternativaPlatform announced today that their tank combat MMO Tanki Online would be receiving a spin-off entitled Tanki X. Tanki X will be a multiplayer tank shooter with Free-For-All, Team Deathmatch, and Capture the Flag modes. It "builds on the huge success of its predecessor" with "drastically improved" graphics, physics, and playability.
It will also feature unique weapons such as flamethrowers, railguns, and shotguns. A fast pace and quick respawns are promised without waiting or traveling. A persistent upgrade system will allow you to upgrade your tank and alter its appearance. Temporary power-ups will line the battlefield, bringing in a mechanic that modern shooters rarely use.
Tanki X will be holding a beta phase soon. If you would like to take part, you can sign up on the official website. It is built in Unity, but it has yet to be revealed whether it will be a browser or client game.
