Warframe’s latest update, Koumei and the Five Fates, has officially rolled onto all platforms, bringing with it the new dice-themed Warframe, Koumei, along with several other exciting features. Released earlier this week, the update doesn’t just add a new ‘Frame—it also introduces a new game mode, a rework of Caliban, and the annual Halloween event.

Koumei, Warframe’s 58th addition, is affectionately called the “dice-maiden” for good reason. Her abilities are determined by dice rolls, so whether you’re dishing out massive damage or applying devastating status ailments, it’s all up to luck. As they say, fortune favors the bold—or in this case, the lucky. If RNG gods smile down on you, Koumei can even grant special buffs or summon protective charms to turn the tide of battle.

The update also introduces the new Shrine Defense mission type, where players protect a Cetus settlement from waves of enemies coming from the sea. Success means earning your way toward unlocking Koumei (or you can grab her from the shop). The Infested Oni mini-boss should also keep you busy for the time being.

In addition to new content, Koumei and the Five Fates includes several quality-of-life improvements. For instance, new players can now sign in through Steam more easily, and the codex will warn you before you accidentally sell unmastered items (because we’ve all been there).

Warframe is also celebrating Halloween with the return of the Nights of Naberus annual spooky event, which is now live and runs through November 1st. Expect new rewards, mods, decorations, and glyphs to haunt your inventory.

To top it all off, Caliban’s rework brings improved mobility and versatility. Grab him as a free login reward until October 16th, and check out the gameplay trailer below for a preview of what’s new in this update!
