NA LCS Recap and Standings

The ninth and final week of the NA LCS regular season has finished!

1. Immortals vs TSM (0-2)
2. Phoenix1 vs Team Envy (2-1)

Day 2:

1. Counter Logic Gaming vs NRG Esports (2-1)
2. Apex vs Liquid (2-1)
3. Cloud9 vs Echo Fox (2-0)
4. Phoenix1 vs Immortals (1-2)

Day 3:

1. TSM vs NRG Esports (2-1)
2. Counter Logic Gaming vs Apex (1-2)
3. Liquid vs Cloud9 (0-2)
4. Team Envy vs Echo Fox (2-0)

In the last week of the regular season TSM swept Immortals 2-0 in the first game of the week. While the Immortals are definitely the second best team in the league, TSM has a clear lead as Immortals seem to take close wins against a variety of teams in the league. Cloud9 also had a great week making look like strong contenders in the upcoming Playoffs.

Playoffs Preview

The Quarterfinals begin with Cloud9 vs Team Envy and Counter Logic Gaming vs Team Liquid. Because TSM and Immortals are the first and second seed they both go straight to the Semifinals. TSM awaits the lowest remaining seed while Immortals play the highest remaining seed.

Unlike the NA LCS, the EU LCS uses best of twos which leads to a point system. A 2-0 win gives 3 points. A tie gives 1 point per team. A loss gives no points.

The final and ninth week of the EU LCS Regular Season, Fnatic fell after losing to G2 Esports and losing to H2K in the tiebreaker. G2 Esports is looking like the favorite to win the season with Splyce and a revitalized H2K behind them. While H2K, Giants, and Fnatic seemingly have the same amount of points, the difference shown between H2K and Fnatic in the tiebreaker suggests a significant gap.

Playoffs Preview

The Playoffs features Giants vs Unicorns of Love and H2K vs Fnatic in the Quarterfinals. G2 Esports awaits the lowest advancing seed while Splyce plays against the highest advancing seed in the Semifinals.

In the second to last week of the regular season, SKTelecom T1 comes back with two wins to help keep them in second place. This week was somewhat predictable in nature as none of the top four teams played each other.

Week 11 Preview

In the last week of the regular season, the series to watch will be the final one of the week between KT Rolster vs Samsung Galaxy. With both teams tied at third, this series will significantly affect how the playoffs play out.
