All-Star Barcelona 2016

The All-Star Event is held by Riot Games every year somewhere around the world. As opposed to Worlds, the All-Star event is not meant to be competitive but has regional matches, fun game modes, and a 1v1 tournament. This year the games took place in Palau Sant Jordi, Barcelona from December 8-11th. The players were divided into two teams: Team Fire, which included the LCK, NA LCS, and IWC All-Stars; and Team Ice, which includes EU LCS, LMS, and LPL All-Stars. The Fun Game Modes included Marksmen, Poro King, One for All, Assassins, Tandem, and All-Stars.

The tournament ended with Team Ice being victorious 1100 over Team Fire's 850. This victory can be attributed to how the LMS region has been moved to Team Ice making the IWC team in Team Fire. As a result, Team Fire did not get as many points in the Regional Matches. Furthermore, Team Ice did extremely well in the 1v1 tournament giving them 400 points more than Team Fire.

My first MMOs included Ragnarok Online, Gunbound, Diablo II, and World of Warcraft. Nowadays, my wife (also a writer on MMOs) and I play League of Legends and any other MMOs we can get our hands on. I also love following eSports and attending eSports events.
