As the third event of IEM Season XI, eight teams played for a prize pool of $100,000 USD from December 14-18th. The teams were divided into two groups that played in a double elimination bracket where the two winning teams from the winner's and loser's brackets qualify for the Playoffs. The Playoffs was a single elimination bracket.

The favorites of the tournament, World's Finalists Samsung Galaxy, came out as the victor as they readily dismantled Team Liquid and Kongdoo Monster. With this win, Samsung Galaxy wins $50,000 USD and qualifies for IEM Season XI Katowice.
The ELEAGUE Major is a Premier Tournament featuring sixteen teams and a $1,000,000 USD prize pool. This week the offline qualifiers have finished where 16 teams competed for eight spots in a swiss tournament.
To qualify for the main tournament, the eight teams with positive scores (3-2 or better) will advance. Here are the results:
The Dota2 Professional League is China's first large-scale individual eSports league. There are two leagues: the Top League and Secondary League, with ten teams in each. Each team plays in a best-of-two Round Robin. With a prize pool of $900,000 USD, the tournament runs from September 19th to December 31st.

The Major League Gaming Vegas 2016 tournament took place in Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada, from December 16-18th. Eight teams competed for a sweet $100,000 USD prizepool in a Group Stage and single elimination Playoff.

Team EnVyUs was able to be victorious once again having a perfect tournament and winning $40,000 USD.
The Intel Extreme Masters Season XI Gyeonggi is part of a chain of tournaments leading up to the annual world championship in Katowice. The tournament took place in Gyeonggi, South Korea From December 16-18. Six teams competed for a $100,000 USD prizepool. Here are the results:
