It's been a while since we've had a good online persistent wargame, hasn't it? One where every single person you see on the battlefield is another player? A new game called Foxhole is looking to do exactly that. It is a game of online persistent "sandbox" warfare in which players determine the game's "narrative." Supply lines can be set up and/or captured. Territories can be captured. Players are given persistent characters, but "skills and strategy matter more than stats or XP points."

Foxhole just showed up on Greenlight yesterday, citing an expected launch of "2016." For the time being, a combat prototype is available to download, should you want to try it out. More information can be found on the official website.
