Nutaku_Logo_Plain_Text_2014

The Nutaku.com web games portal that is slowly bringing DMM games to the West, as well as several others, originally launched on November 5, 2015. Since then, we've been waiting to hear how the site has been doing. Today, Nutaku revealed that their first month of service saw over 700,000 users playing Angelic Saga Online and Kanpani Girls. Since then, Hero Zero has also launched through the portal.

Nutaku also stated that they expect that number to double by this Summer due to two new titles launching this April. The titles in question have yet to be revealed.

Nutaku Celebrates Its First Birthday With A Contest

The Nutaku gaming portal that is slowly bringing DMM's large catalogue of titles—as well as some other titles—to the West has officially been open for a year. To celebrate, they are holding a Hyper-Super Ultra-Mega Celebration Contest. One grand prize winner will win a paid flight to Los Angeles and 4-day stay at a hotel for Anime Expo 2016, which is being held from July 1st to July 4th.

Other prizes include 1000 Nutaku Gold and a "personalized gift bundle" that includes swag from various games that they host—I'm assuming "personalized" means that they will select items based on which games you have the most recorded playtime in—and a limited edition t-shirt. In all, 101 people will win. To enter, you simply have to head over to the contest page, press Enter Now, and log in if you aren't logged in already.

Nutaku Launches New All-Ages Gaming Portal Featuring Kanpani Girls

kanpanigirls

Nutaku has become known as "that site that is localizing all of the Japanese 18+ browser games" through their .net portal. Having launched earlier this year, they have localized the ever-popular Lord of Valkyrie and Millennium War Aigis, among others. Being primarily focused on DMM titles, many have been asking them to localize Kantai Collection—the permadeath ship girl autobattler that has gained popularity outside of Japan despite region locking—and they've expressed interest, albeit with a note that DMM would like to see how other titles do first.

Unfortunately, I am not here to tell you that Kantai Collection has been localized. Instead, Nutaku have opened up an all-ages companion to their 18+ portal. Launched today, the site currently features English versions of Kanpani Girls—a mercenary company management game—and the all-ages version of the card game Angelic Saga. Kanpani Girls boasts over 1 million active monthly users in Japan and is available in English for the first time today. These titles will be accompanied by more of "the world's most immersive web and mobile games" in the near future.

For more information, or to start playing, head to Nutaku.com. The .com address is the one you want for the all-ages portal.
