AdventureQuest Worlds Infinity Drops New Trailer, Confirms Beta Launch This Year

Artix Entertainment has begun taking the wraps off AdventureQuest Worlds Unity following its official unveiling last year. The game has now been rebranded as AdventureQuest Worlds Infinity as the studio eyes a beta launch later this year on PC via Steam and mobile devices.
The upcoming “anything-goes” fantasy MMORPG will essentially be a modern reboot of the AdventureQuest Worlds browser game that launched almost 15 years ago and was later re-imagined as AdventureQuest 3D. While most reboots tend to be entirely separate entities, players of the original browser-based game will apparently be able to login and access their characters and items on the new version.
“Explore a rebuilt world at 60fps, featuring a remastered storyline, 50,000+ items, 200 classes, and the weekly game releases that are a staple of Artix Entertainment games,” touts Artix. “AdventureQuest Worlds: Infinity will turn your phone, tablet, or computer into a portal to our ever-growing online world.”
“This is not just a port of the original game, but any game dev team’s worst nightmare project,” the studio added. “All 1,500 cutscenes, 5,000+ monsters, and 4,000 pets will need to be re-animated by hand. The game, servers, and combat were re-built from the ground up. New features include faster gameplay, joystick support, WASD controls, scrolling, particle systems, and improved interface designed to run on multiple devices. An exceptional amount of focus was on allowing players to log in with their existing characters and equip all of their hard-earned items.”
The shiny new trailer below should give you an idea of what to expect from the cross-platform MMORPG. You can also now wishlist AdventureQuest Worlds Infinity on Steam.
