Albion Online Aurelius Update Announced, Closed Beta Stats Revealed

aureliusupdate

The other day, Sandbox Interactive revealed the first major update to Albion Online since Closed Beta began. Entitled "Aurelius," the update will bring even more usability to the interface among other changes. This update announcement comes alongside some impressive Closed Beta stats. The first week of Closed Beta brought in 43,183 active players from 141 countries. Quite a lot of people seem to have put their faith in Albion Online by purchasing a Founder's Pack.

The Aurelius update will see several quality of life improvements. Players will now be able to toggle combat mode, making it so that they don't accidentally loot during battle. Right-clicking will force your character to move, regardless of what they are doing. Channels will be implemented for chat.

Three new Keeper bosses—Seer Galifax, Chieftain, and Old Grandpa—can now be taken on. They will be accompanied by three new mob types—Knifelings, Marksmen, and Rainmaker—and three new Dungeon types—Temple, Residence, and Mushroom Cave.

Hellgates will be made available in safe zones. This is to introduce newer players to PvP. Five-player groups will be able to jump into Hell Dungeons and face demons alongside other groups of five players.

You can find the full details of this update at the new update page on the official website.
