When Aliens: Fireteam Elite came out last week, most of us were surprised to find out that Cold Iron Studios, the game’s developer and co-publisher, was in fact a subsidiary of Daybreak Games. The press release announcing Daybreak’s acquisition of the still back in August 2020, however, suddenly vanished a few days ago around the same time that Daybreak CEO Ji Ham became acting CEO of Enad Global 7.

According to MMO Fallout, Cold Iron Studios broke away from Daybreak as of August 4th when it was quietly sold off by the latter, which is why both Aliens: Fireteam Elite and Cold Iron’s logos and trademarks were missing from EG7’s latest quarterly financial report.

Meanwhile, Aliens: Fireteam has seen a steady decline in its playerbase over the past few days after peaking at 15,568 concurrent players just three days ago. The game is available on Steam starting at $39.99 for the base game.
