Amazon Game Studios Is Sending Crucible Back To Closed Beta

crucible concept art bannerAfter a rocky first month and a steadily declining playerbase, Amazon Game Studios has decided to pull Crucible from the shelves and send it back to closed beta for further development.

“Starting tomorrow, Crucible is moving to closed beta. We’ll continue following the roadmap we laid out previously and working on map, combat, and system changes to improve the Heart of the Hives experience as well as implementing other improvements based on your feedback and what we think the game needs in order to thrive.”

Players who’ve already downloaded the game and those who download it before 9am PT tomorrow will be able to participate in the closed beta which will be online 24/7 without an NDA. All progress and items earned during the game’s short stint on Steam will be retained. The battle pass, reward tracks, and the in-game store will also remain active. The developers also promised to dedicate a block of their time each week to play with the community and gather their feedback.
