Angela Game’s legal battle against Snail Games and Studio Wildcard moves forward as the Chinese developer files an appeal to have Myth of Empires re-listed on Steam. The motion was filed at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and has already been assigned a docket number according to MMO Fallout.

Meanwhile, Angela Game continues to sell the game directly from their own website while waiting on the ruling. Both parties were also ordered to have an independent expert that they mutually agree upon to review the source code for Myth of Empires before February 19th. If they can’t agree on an expert, both sides will be required to propose two experts that the court will choose from.

Myth of Empires was removed from Steam last December following allegations that its source code was stolen from ARK: Survival Evolved. Angela Game responded to the DMCA takedown by filing a lawsuit against Snail Games and Studio Wildcard to recover damages, which in turn was met with a countersuit with the intent of milking Angela Games for all they’ve got.
