Astroneer Lets You Explore Space In Style Today

Those of you that haven't had stylish space exploration games ruined for you forever by the disappointment that was the release of No Man's Sky may yet find a worthy space exploration experience in Astroneer. Astroneer is a new game in a similar vein that allows you to explore procedurally generated planets with alone or with up to three of your friends, surviving each of them and their environmental dangers as you go. On each planet, you can "reshape terrain as though it were made of Play-Doh" and make "custom vehicles and modules" out of modular components that can be snapped together. The modular building system allows players to create anything from small base camps to "massive industrial bases."

Astroneer is now available on Steam Early Access for $19.99. Early reviews are noting optimization issues, especially on systems that make use of AMD components, so take note of that before deciding whether or not you're going to pick the game up just yet.
