Atlas Reactor Goes Free-To-Play With The Release Of A New Freelancer

Atlas Reactor Season 2 began yesterday, bringing with it a fully free-to-play business model and a new Freelancer named "Brynn." The new business model will allow players to buy Freelancers using in-game currency, as well as take part in Ranked matches for free.

Brynn, "the Skywarden," is a Frontline Freelancer that makes use of "a good amount of CC and damage mitigation." She can "create cover wherever she is" with her "Aegis" ability and make use of a lance that has adjustable range. Should her lance not reach her target, she can throw her shield at enemies, or even bounce it off of walls, using her "Soaring Shield" ability.

The Season 2 update also introduces a new All-Random mode, new loot, a "revamped intro experience," balance changes for all Freelancers, and more. Players can no longer drop Ranks when they lose in Ranked matches, but they will still be able to be knocked down a tier. Those who reach Master Rank "will enter a new leaderboard style system."
