Babylon’s Fall Extends Season 2 To ‘Re-Evaluate Its Future Operating Roadmap’

It’s safe to say that Square Enix and PlatinumGames didn’t quite get the reception that they’d hoped for when Babylon’s Fall launched back in March. All-time concurrency barely reached 1200 players on launch day with less than two dozen players online as of this writing. That probably had something to do with the team’s decision to extend the co-op action RPG’s next season.

“The seasons in BABYLON’S FALL have been planned to run in cycles of around three months, but based on the feedback we have received from our players, we feel that we need a period to re-evaluate the game’s future operating roadmap and accordingly have decided to extend Season 2 by three months, meaning it will now run until Tuesday, November 29, 2022.”

Season 2: The Light of Aaru officially kicks off on May 31st and will introduce a ton of content, including a new story chapter that takes place in the Tower of Benben, the new Pistol weapon type, 80 new quests, and new enemies. The upcoming season will also introduce a new battle pass reward track with assassin-themed cosmetics up for grabs along with limited-time seasonal items.

“A Kuftaali VIP visits the Sentinel Force Headquarters. The Sentinels head to the Ziggurat under a new order and are faced with a new truth. Witness the story of Elysium in the Ziggurat “Tower of Benben” that stands tall in the desert.”

More Season 2 content will also be arriving on July 12th, while the Sun Festival event begins on July 19th and will run until August 15th. Details can be found on the Babylon’s Fall official site.
