Bandai Namco and Neowiz Announce Bless Unleashed For Xbox One For 2019
Despite Bless Online's disastrous launch on the PC, it's not the end of the road for the Bless franchise. Bandai Namco announced today that they will be launching Bless Unleashed on the Xbox One sometime in 2019 as a free to play MMORPG (Looks to be an Xbox exclusive). Like the PC version of he game, Bless Unleashed is being developed by Neowiz. Unlike the PC version though, Unleashed wlll be powered by Unreal Engine 4 and will also be free to play.
“Every aspect, from the story to the combat, to the skill progression has been carefully crafted to portray a new console MMORPG experience,” In Joon Hwang, Bandai Namco America’s senior director for online publishing, said in the statement.
While technically Bless Unleashed is a different game than Bless Online, launching a different version of the game with an upgraded engine and a free to play model feels like a slap in the face for players who bought the game on Steam. Especially considering just how poorly optimized the Unreal 3 PC version is and how buggy it is. No word on whether 'Bless Unleashed' will be coming to the PC.
