Battlerite Royale Going Free to Play on February 19th

Battlerite Royale, the battle royale game based on Battlerite, is going free to play on February 19th and is also exiting Steam early access on the same date. Despite averaging over 3,000 players online during the month of October 2018, Battlerite Royale's playerbase currently averages 223 players over the last 30 days. These numbers should jump significantly when the game goes free to play, as it currently costs $19.99.

“Upon our community request to release the game as soon as possible, we are pumped to announce that Battlerite Royale’s free-to-play launch now has a confirmed date,” said Peter Ilves, Game Director at Stunlock Studios. “Thank you to everyone who has been participating in the beta and giving us your feedback. We are now super excited to deliver the complete experience – a MOBA Royale – free for everyone to play. The game launches together with a massive update including several surprises to look forward to.”

To celebrate the free to play launch, Stunlock Studios is releasing a major update to both the battle royale game as well as the regular Battlerite game. No info on that update just yet, but it's supposed to be a big one.
